At Integro Clinics, we have seen cannabis medicines can offer analgesic relief, thus minimising the feelings of pain without causing a loss or disruption to consciousness.

Some specific forms of medical cannabis have also been shown to improve sleep for those with fibromyalgia and can even be a suitable substitute for other, traditional medications.

For some patients with fibromyalgia or arthritis, cannabis medicines can offer relief from symptoms such as chronic pain, headaches and muscle stiffness.

UK Fibromyalgia, in collaboration with Integro Clinics, The Cannabis Patient and Advocacy Support Service (CPASS), The Primary Cannabis Care Network (PCCN) and PLEA hosted its first-ever webinar. The webinar saw a host of experts and patient panellists discussing cannabis medicines and CBD for fibromyalgia and arthritis. Both episodes were filled with conversation between panellists and featured a Q&A session where attendees could ask any questions that they have and have them answered by our experts and patient panellists.

Cannabis medicine

The first episode of the two-part series was a discussion between Integro’s Lead Clinician, Dr Anthony Ordman and Ethan Russo, a psychopharmacology researcher, in which the two medical experts presented their ideas on why cannabis medicines can be so effective in treating the symptoms of fibromyalgia and arthritis.

The second episode was a roundtable discussion between medical experts including Dr Anthony Ordman, Queen of CBD, Mary Biles and Dr Leon Barron, NHS GP, as well as three medical cannabis patients who shared their experience from diagnosis to gaining their first medical cannabis prescription. They went on to how they have found cannabis to be extremely helpful in managing their symptoms of fibromyalgia.
