Cantourage Clinic, which prescribes cannabis to patients across the UK, has received high praise from the Care Quality Commission following a recent inspection.
Following an inspection by the CQC in October, Cantourage Clinic has been rated as ‘Good’ by the independent regulator.
The report published detailed that there was a clear vision to provide a safe, personalised, high quality service within the clinic and it was determined that patients could access care and treatment from the service within an appropriate timescale for their needs.
The CQC (Care Quality Commission) identified that staff were consistent and proactive in empowering patients and supporting them to manage their health and maximise their independence.
Feedback from patients was included within the report, which outlined that patients were ‘positive about the way staff at Cantourage Clinic treat people’.
A recent survey from the clinic was also reviewed which concluded that all patients who took the survey agreed that Cantourage Clinic staff have been ‘respectful and courteous’.
Clinic director of Cantourage Clinic, Emma Donoghue stated: “I am incredibly proud of our good rating across all five of the CQC key lines of enquiry. This success can be attributed to the hard work and commitment of the clinic team and will be the cornerstone for some exciting service developments.
“I would also like to thank the Cantourage Clinic patients for their ongoing support. Our patients play an essential role within the continuous improvement process and their feedback has been key.”
Cantourage Clinic is a patient-centred clinic. Since launching in April, the clinic’s main aims have been to provide an exceptional level of service to patients whilst educating and campaigning to make medical cannabis more accessible in the UK.
Following the positive outcome of this inspection, Cantourage Clinic looks forward to continuing to provide exceptional patient care.
